Dior

Barbara wanted to surprised her friend Tricia with the portrait of her horse Dior. Unfortunately, she had no photo of Dior...Turned out, I was covering the next weekend a clinic as a photographer where Tricia was riding her horse Dior. It gave me a chance to snap some high quality photos of Dior, so Barbara could pick the one I would use as photo reference to paint Dior's portrait.

I am obsessed with Dior's shiny black coat and her kind eyes ... I had a lot of fun painting this lovely mare!

" That is so perfect! I'm sure she'll love it!!! "

"I just got the gorgeous portrait of Dior. My gosh I am thrilled. You are such a talent ! Thanks so much ! "

Rosevelt

This one is a legend! This magnificent stallion and his rider Allison Brock won a medal together at the 2016 Olympic games in Rio.

Ali's aunt Suzy got the portrait of Rosevelt as a surprise for Ali and was thrilled to get her something she would really love!

I'm really honored to had the chance to paint this incredible horse and to meet Allison Brock and her sweet auntie Suzy!

" I loved getting to meet you and was thrilled to buy your amazing painting of Rosevelt!!  I am in awe of your talent!!!  I hope you are doing well, I think of you often.  Thanks again"

" Thank you, thank you for your incredible painting of Rosevelt!!!  You are a sweetheart and unbelievably talented!!!"

Voltaire

Mimi commissioned the portrait of her beloved Voltaire for herself. Mimi had some photos of her boy but nothing that would turn good into painting. We had to have a photoshoot with Sir Voltaire... and Sir Voltaire is quite hard to photograph: eyes closed, ears down, mouth open.. all of that together pretty much all the time! It took time, but I finally managed to get few good photos of Voltaire and give Mimi different options. She was thrilled by all the photos and had a hard time choosing just one!

" OMG!!! This is awesome! You make him look so good and it's sooooo him! You are so talented! Thank you so much! "

Jojo

Jojo is a very special boy for Charles. From his birth to becoming an amazing Grand Prix horse, Charles witnesses it all!

Charles commissioned the portrait of Jojo after his forever friend Jim, owner of Jojo, passed away.

It's a very emotional painting in memory of a talented rider... Charles bursted in tears when he received the painting...

" Beautiful...beautiful! I have no word...! Outstanding artist!"

Smarty

Melissa commissioned the portrait of her lovely girl Smarty this year! She had no photo for me we so we organized a photoshoot. Smarty is gorgeous and she loves to pose, so it was quick and easy to get good photos! Melissa picked one as photo reference and I started painting the portrait of this lady! So much fun but I think the funniest part was when Smarty got to see her painting! Have a look at the photos below, she looks very satisfied! Ahahah! Funny mare! :)

Oh Delphine !!! It’s PERFECT !!!!!!!!! ! Oh I LOVE IT !!! THANK YOU !! "

" Oh my gosh !!! My husband is AMAZED !!! LOVES IT !!!! "

Big g

Scott commissioned the portrait of Big G as a surprise for his wife Laurie for their 40th anniversary.

The photo he picked as reference for the painting was quite challenging : the angle from below made it hard for me to created a painting that would make sense in terms of perspectives, but Laurie just loved this photo of Big G with his big soft eyes... so, I had to make it work! Usually, I never paint any background on my raw linen canvas but this time, I had to, in order to give depth and a sense of the perspective. It turned out really good! Scott and Laurie were very pleased!

" Wow. Very nice."

"I love the painting! Thank you so much! "
